I love this story a lot it will be sad that its going to be ended or be put on hold. I’m not sure exactly where did I took inspiration for that weapon, but it’s a mix of a warhammer cannon mixed up with a mass effect style of shotgun… just not as fancy looking.
but I think that rifle you mention is also part of the inspiration, but I’d say the guns I saw in Starship troopers also influenced a bit the way I think about «cool guns»

Ever since i was 11 i read the original derideal, something about the story and everything made me feel inspired for the first time in my life, after a few years i remembered about it and decided to read the spinoffs and the new derideal and its amazing to see that you have been working on this for 10 years, its honestly amazing, If it wasnt for your comics I would have never had inspiration to make the story for my game. Gracias por leer esta serie THE VOID, espero que hayan disfrutado la aventura de estos personajes.
Tengo que decirles a todos ahora que este será el último episodio de THE VOID, porque:
THE VOID me dio muchas lecciones y buenos personajes que he disfrutado, de todas formas la historia de este comic se mantendrá de alguna forma viva en mi Discord, ya que a veces hago sesiones RPG basadas en este mundo.
Espero que entiendan mi decisión, solía ser más fácil para mi hacer muchos comics cuando era joven… pero ya estoy muy viejo, siento que cada vez tengo menos tiempo y energía, así que decidí elegir mejor mis batallas.
Hice estos últimos dos episodios para Patreon, para darles algo especial a esas personas que me ayudan, ya que no planeaba en verdad seguir con este comic.
De seguro algunos de esos personajes seguirán apareciendo en dibujos y quizas en otros proyectos, quién sabe.
