I guessing the “sabotage” mentioned before was previous teams sabotaging each other to finish on top instead of learning to work together like Orben and Nova did.

Though I don’t think either side expected Orben and Nova to develop feelings for each other beyond friendship.

Yes, enemy clans usually ended up just competitive between each other instead of becoming a team.
And yeah, they’re not expecting they liking each other too, because it’s not something as normal for incompatible xeno species to feel romantic for each other hah.
