And I would also think him remembering old memories like this to be significantly different from how it was explained how his healing factor returned him to a feral state.
I don’t know if it’s because of the patches keeping his heal-factor in check or maybe with physically maturing, Alpha’s heal-factor eventually adjusted on its own. But it means Alpha is starting to remember on his own.
Alpha regenerative capacity is high, probably similar to wolverine in marvel comics. But without the unbreakable skeleton he’s also more vulnerable. Still the maximum triggered regeneration affects his brain and turn him feral.
So it’s never been a good idea for him to get too much damage. The medication balanced things out, made him still resistant but his brain was kept intact
