His spirit is definitely cracked now, but I don’t think they’ve completely broken it yet. The spirit is the hardest part of a person to break, and as long as one has something worth protecting, in this case Ivory, you won’t break the spirit. His spirit is bent, but it’s not yet completely broken. Ivory, like Laura before her, is absolutely the key to both breaking Alpha…and completely turning their precious supersolider against them. And there’s the phony kindness to go with the gaslighting. Very abusive, if you’ll forgive my stating the obvious. What a loathsome person. What a loathsome organization.
I like complex antagonists. I like sympathetic antagonists. But you know what, sometimes a story needs a villain. you can boo and hiss at. This comic is great!
