well, it implies part of her own confusion with the situation, she’s also been emotionally broken… it might have been Laura’s instinct, or she asked her to call her this way, she can’t even remember

I get the feeling Berit’s husband was killed the day Wally stole Laura from him..and now Berit knows what happened to her husband(ex-husband, I guess?).

Interesting that she isn’t stopping Laura from calling her ‘mom’ though.
