He better hope Alpha doesn’t somehow catch wind of what he been putting Laura through, especially after Berit lied to him about her being dead.
Also hoping we’ll be checking in with Daniel again soon. Really curious to find out what he’s been up to since deciding to do something.

I know that Laura is clinically fine, but holy *CENSORED* this chapter makes me feel sick from numerous atrocious things been done every other page or two.
I’m sorry it feels terrible, but I really wanted to explain how the conditioning was achieved, and I’m not a big fan of “it’s a control chip” trope. this is much more nuanced, and if it fails or succeed, it also depends on the subject and not convenient story tropes… but yeah, might be too shocking, it’s been my downfall writing Derideal I guess, it’s too dark
I went with a powerful hypnotic suggestion, triggered by a verbal command, to force impossible to resist obedience for one of my OC’s. That coupled with a constant reminder that their current situation is exactly what they deserve, and isolation so they’re forced to dwell on the lies and accept them as truth.
Down side is, literally, anyone could, potentially, abuse that command should they find out about it.
Laura looks like she just took a strong hit of the good stuff.
Too bad we know she really looks like that because Wally is hell bent of completely destroying her on a mental level.
Wonder if Berit’s going to be able to do whatever he wants her to do to Laura next, especially after the story time moment.
Looking at her and hearing about what to expect from a mass-produced Xeno that has been fully programmed, I’m getting the impression that while they’ll learn a lot about perfecting the process from her, their might not be much of a functional brain to use the finished process on her once perfected.
