I’m still trying to figure out what’s the big secret she’s trying to find out from Luara.
Just what is she trying to make sense of. Especially when Laura seems to be made for such a personal niche.
It just seems like any answer that Luara could hold for Berit, she could answer herself or with a fresh Prime.
there no «big secret» from Laura. Berit wanted to get closer to the clone of the daughter, her assignment with it is an excuse she needed to convince herself she feels nothing but hate or disgust knowing this origin of this creature.
Laura is also important for the Consortium and C. Wally for another reasons. Orozco was being manipulated too.
Ah, that makes sense.
But that does make it a bit puzzling why she would be so important for the Consortium when they have already started working towards mass production of the Primes. Not quite mass, but a bit further then the prototype faze.
Come to think about it. Considering what little bits we’ve heard about the outside world, the xenoes could be one way for humanity to have a legacy if humans are going the way of the dodo.
It might soon be possible, but they’ve already created two time bombs that are, quite literally, waiting for their fuses to be lit. Alpha/Aden and Ivory. Ivory likely won’t do anything on her own, but she’ll absolutely jump to Alpha’s aid once he’s been set off…and I feel like Daniel might be the one to light that particular fuse.
I like how the captions work just as well whether you assume they’re Laura’s or Berit’s. Well, okay, maybe they fit Laura better, but looking at Berit’s tired face there I wouldn’t be surprised if she fell asleep standing up and didn’t realize it. Evil scientist needs nap badly.
Plus, «I feel so lost» could describe a lot of people in this comic.
Imagine if Laura suddenly turns the tables on Berit and uses her likeness to human Laura to manipulate Berit into doing xeno Laura’s bidding.
All she has to really do is make use of those memories she was forced to relieve constantly to be able to act like her human counterpart and Berit would be powerless against her.
