You do have to wonder what Wally thinks he is giving the Nexus here. In a way, he’s feelings towards the xenos seems to conflict with the potential goals for the project.
After all, considering the potential ranges of what we’ve seen xenos play in this world. What we see happening between Berit and Laura will become more common than Wally would like, most likely.
Oh, most definitely. For every person that’ll treat them the way Wally believes they should be treated, a dozen more will treat them as equals.
That factor is likely to pay a role in how the Xenos eventually gain their freedom. Enough people seeing them being abused and refusing to ignore the problem any longer results in a rise up against the oppressors.

i know it,i.shoulda knew how Wally should do with his vision of ‘perfecting humanity and brighter society’ without any ‘pesky’ rebellions and ‘perfectful’ Conditioning unfer ‘the powerful and great’ Consortium,but only find out that one day these ‘guinea pigs’ would ultimately be free as their own people,and this ‘quiet and easily controlled and operated society’ thst Wally would be see,would be see a lot of difference when Xenos goes breaking to freedom from ebing servants mode…let us hope about it.
