but she’s not as powerful or got as much influence to fight against him. I’m sure he’s feeling merciful and being as nice as he can with her, I mean, he’s even allowing her to take Laura.
I had hopes that with meeting Laura, Berit would have some sort of redemption or at least some resemblance of closure. So much for a wishful thinking. And I doubt that dr. Wallaby here is being merciful by allowing her to live with that hell of her own making.

I don’t know if it is intentional on his part, but giving her Laura might give a bit of leverage over Berit. After all, depending on how she feels about Laura after all this she might be less willing to act out if she has more than just herself to worry about from consequences of any later actions.
Good job, Wally. That’s going to be two scientists with inside knowledge of your project your sending right to the rebels. What happens if, on her way out, Berit decides to reveal the truth to Alpha? Maybe reunite him and Laura? Wally is certainly handing the rebels a ton of top secret information on a silver platter, isn’t he? Read the side comics. Pretty obvious the plan for them is an easily replaced workforce for any task human workers are needed for. Only difference is Xenos are an easily mass produced resource. Got a war to fight? Send the specially trained Xeno squads in. Dangerous repairs needed in the airless vacuum of space or in the hufh pressure depths of the oceans?
