Wait, that’s not a xeno… Oh, that’s why they kept him. Figures, why kill rebels when you can… “Re-educate” them?
Also, that’s rather quick that they applied dr. Orozco’s program patch into those helmets without proper debugging and testing. I mean backdoors are a thing.
P.S. Why tell the staff to leave? Unless bein near that contraption possibly can turn them sterile… Yikes…
It’s kind of interesting to wonder how we get from tables and reprogramming helmets to full on exoskeletons that take over your mind and body and slowly encase your body in full on armor.
It also makes you wonder how the denizens of the Void work into the future continuity. Did the Xenos above ground ever discover the Void or did the denizens eventually find their way out? What kind of effect on the world above did they have if they did? Or did the Void open up like Pandora’s box and release the Cadacters upon the humans?
I get the impression we’re seeing the beginning of the end for humanity here.
So, Wally is splitting his research to human trials. But who’s going to run the Xeno’s side of this project. It would be kind of dangerous to ignore the other side of his responsibility. Didn’t the Nexo want a mass-produced work force?
It just hit me…Wally can use this machine to force Rebel soliders to reveal all sorts of information on the Rebels. Base locations, plans they might be working on; and even if there’s any Rebels hiding under his nose. This might be the fall of the Rebels. You can’t hide if your own people are brainwashed into talking to the enemy on command. Though, based on Wally’s current track record…I doubt he’s had the forethought to think of that. Too busy drowning in his own ego. And Alpha’s going Rebel without anyone noticing. A Xeno going rogue, whom also just… Read more »
Once the Rebels learn of this toy, and they will, the only effect it’ll have is redoubling the efforts of the Rebels to take down the Consortium once and for all. And trying to find a way to UNDO the effects of the machine. He might be able to bend people to his will, but he threw away the one who could build a program to undo it like a complete moron. Berit won’t be happy once it gets out that Wally’s brainwashing people. She may not care about stopping it from happening to other Xenos, but she’s not going… Read more »
Something tells me that undoing this procedure will be a lot easier said than done. Just putting in the basic program into Laura’s brain had some pretty noticeable effects on her when left alone and after triggering it. Any method to undo it probably will compound the problem from there.
