Really starting to seem like Laura might actually still have her memories, and was using Aden’s promise as a anchor to endure everything the Consortium waa doing to her. Would make everything they did to her even worse since they shot them both in the head all the worse if they restored her memories just to use them against her while trying to also erase Aden entirely, leaving traces of himself behind as broken fragments of memories. So all Alpha really has from his Aden days of Laura is a few vague things to make him feel like he should know her.
Though to be sadly fair to Aden. It didn’t seem like Aden got a whole lot of time to get to know her all that much the first time. But that time certainly was an experience.
